The client wanted to retain the while of the commercial space on ground floor, so we needed to retain the existing staircase for access to the upper floors. Our design uses cladding and timber fins to replicate the vertical language of this staircase.

Generous windows and contemporary detailing create a modern style, offering a distinctive extension set against the traditional Georgian terrace. We like to design extensions in a modern style, as we see this as the perfect way to respect the historic grandeur of the existing building.

This updated extension rises two storeys and offers generous terraces and balconies as communal and private spaces, maintaining high-quality commercial space on the ground floor and stylish residential units above.
