The plans and designs we have created for Tooting High Street employ Building Information Modelling (BIM), enabling us to share designs and data through an interoperable standard, increasing efficiency of coordination with our stakeholders.
We have made numerous enhancements to the already consented design to increase the number of units, increasing the client’s commercial gains, whilst ensuring the design meets modern standards - particularly prescient with introduction of the Building Safety Act.
As with any London development site, there are numerous historic and geographic constraints one must tackle to deliver a scheme of this scale and complexity. For example, the site at 25-29 Tooting High Street spans the gap between Tooting Market and Broadway Market on a popular and busy shopping thoroughfare. It sits above a tube line, with future plans to build a Cross rail 2 terminal directly below.
Tooting Broadway Underground station is less than 200 yards from the site, and Tooting High Street is well-serviced with buses and has a TfL PTAL rating of 6A, making this new building a perfect place for car-free living. This is entirely in tune with our ethos to champion urban living by raising the quality of the built environment for all stakeholders and delivering attractive, suitably equipped, modern and inviting new homes into thriving neighbourhoods and communities.
25-29 Tooting High Street, when completed, will be a modern and welcome addition to the street scene, enhancing its architectural interest and providing unparalleled access to the district and the wider capital for car-free individuals, couples and families.
